A web browser is a software application to visualize information resources available in websites. These information resources can be web pages, text documents, images, videos, sounds and other multimedia contents.
Each of these information resources are identified by an address that must be entered in the web browser to visualize that resource.
The web pages are documents that contain text and the instructions needed by the web browser to show that text next to other multimedia resources, as if they were all part of one document.
These web pages can have links to other information resources and the user can visualize them by clicking those links. The space formed by all the linked resources in Internet is what is called the World Wide Web.
